A Beautiful Home-Based Preschool

Small Wonders School, Portland, Oregon

Allison co-owns and teaches at a home-based preschool and she wrote to share some photos with us. It's a calm, beautiful space and great inspiration for small schools, homeschool environments or a child's playroom.

Allison shares:

We wanted to create a Reggio-inspired space for our new home based preschool using authentic natural materials, a space that is both welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Designed for preschool aged children each room had to fulfill multi-functions from free play and gathering, to project and nap time. The Waldorf dolls and play kitchen were custom creations. Many items were found at local consignment shops and Craigslist, the large piece items came from the well respected children's furniture maker Community Playthings.

Terrific - thanks Allison! Readers, you can learn more about the Small Wonders School here.
