A Beautiful Paint Color Chameleon

High Point Market Fall 2012

gray101712.JPG High Point is where you go to see furniture of all shapes, sizes, styles and price points. It's where buyers go to stock their shops and where editors go to see what's new. It's also where we discovered a great paint color, on the walls of one of the most luxurious showrooms in North Carolina...

...Baker.

A bit of a temple to well crafted furniture, the Baker showroom is one of THE destinations at High Point; everyone makes time for a visit and it is definitely ooh and ahh-worthy. For this Fall Market, one of the large rooms of the showroom was painted a color that had us all entranced from the get-go. It's a soft medium gray that has such interesting blue/red undertones that it reads anywhere from a delicate, soft lavender-gray to a deeper purple-y charcoal and back again, depending on the light.

I had to know the color and the fine folks at Baker came through - the designer said it is Tempest by Benjamin Moore - the number is AF-590.
