When creating my daughter's "big girl room" I wanted to take the whimsy of the forest and combine it with an artistic point of view.
The wall of birds was my big project--created for under $20 with a pair of scissors, a pad of scrapbook paper and some poster putty.
Since my daughter is full of life and color herself, i wanted to make sure the tones in her room were as bright as she is. Overall, she loves the result and can't wait to come home from school to play in her new room every day.

Love the wall of handmade birds. I always intended to do something similar with butterflies, but never got around to it. You may have inspired me to return to an age old project!

I love the pink you chose- my daughter is begging for a pink room. :) Do you know what color/brand it is?
It is the cheap Walmart paint, which I regret. Not sure the color name but I know it was obnoxious. I think some sort of food. Sorry I am not more helpful. Ha.
