Name: Hannah (1 week)
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Blue and green are my two favourite colours, so when it came time to decorate a gender-neutral nursery (the baby's sex is a surprise), I knew those were the colours I wanted to use. My goal was to create a serene and soothing space with a little bit of whimsy (it's a kid's room after all).
We did all the work ourselves, including installing new hardwood floors and baseboards. We were on a tight budget, so the room is filled with DIY projects - from the open storage in the closet to the bunting flag art to the crib, curtains and changing table. The room is quite small and lacked storage, so we hung floating shelves and ditched the closet door to maximize the space and keep the room from feeling too cluttered.
We couldn't be happier with how the room turned out!

So serene. And I'm enthralled with that perfectly ordered closet!
I love the alphabet decals over the changing table - where did you get those? You'll be so glad you did that when your baby is older - a great thing to get her focused on when the diaper changes get increasingly squirmy (and an educational opportunity to boot!). We have decals above our changing table too - a safe and fun way to decorate the wall.
@K-ROG The wall decal is from DeSerres - a Canadian chain of art supply stores. You can also find it on their website. Thanks!
can you share the name of the wall paint color?
Love it! The pictures over the crib are adorable.
Cute!
Can you tell me where you got your crib?
LOVE!
Simply lovely! Where did you get the white bins on the shelves in the closet?
So sweet and cozy. My favorite nursery on AT, seriously.
Lucky baby... Love it!
Oh cool, I live in Halifax toO\o!
The wall colour is called 'Inkling' by SICO (www.sico.ca) and the crib is a hand-me-down that we painted (I believe it's a Storkcraft crib if that helps).
Oh, and the white bins came from the dollar store!
Love! This is one of the most beautiful nurseries I've come across - clean lines, calming and easy on the eyes. I adore the curtains, pillows, and floating shelf displays as well.
I'm considering replacing our glider with a baby rocker similar to the Eames-style rocker you have. Would you mind telling me if the rocker is comfortable?
