Hannah's Blue & Green Room in Halifax

My Room

Name: Hannah (1 week)
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Blue and green are my two favourite colours, so when it came time to decorate a gender-neutral nursery (the baby's sex is a surprise), I knew those were the colours I wanted to use. My goal was to create a serene and soothing space with a little bit of whimsy (it's a kid's room after all).

We did all the work ourselves, including installing new hardwood floors and baseboards. We were on a tight budget, so the room is filled with DIY projects - from the open storage in the closet to the bunting flag art to the crib, curtains and changing table. The room is quite small and lacked storage, so we hung floating shelves and ditched the closet door to maximize the space and keep the room from feeling too cluttered.

We couldn't be happier with how the room turned out!
