Normally when we talk about cool places to be a kid, we're not usually referencing homes that have a detached (at the bottom) staircase. This space in Hungary is awesome no matter what your age and its youthful sense of design allows child-like elements to blend right in and feel at home.

This space was recently renovated and like many homes, they had to work with several pre-existing architectural details to make things come together. Those tall windows are just beautiful and playing off them, the hanging stairs were added with circles cut out to reflect upon them.

The stair treads go up at an angle and although they might scare some are intended to be reminiscent of youth and keep things lively. It's a fun space and the blank canvas of the main floor is sure to play host to all sorts of kids, colors and furnishings in the years to come.
