Check out this incredible renovation and decoration project done by Jessica of JP Warren Interiors, a woman with personal style so incredible that her friends encouraged her to help others out with their homes.

The 1887 building had stunning bones but had only been updated minimally throughout the years, so Jessica made it her cause to bring the comforts of modern life into the space. Where appropriate, original details like woodwork and glass were restored to their original grandeur. Era-appropriate antique decorative selections were also mixed with contemporary pieces to give the space an eclectic feeling that suits this homeowner best.

White Enamel Flatwa...
ok thats just plain gorgeous!!
holy shit....can i say 'holy shit'? because this place deserves it.
you must go check out the rest of the pics!
Amazing!
the staircase in the full article is beautiful...
pepsin... my sentiments exactly. What a dream. Can you imagine finding those floors under linoleum? I think I might actually keel over if that ever happened to me.
@pepsin - took the words right out of my mouth.
Absolutely PERFECT!
Same reaction as Pepsin and others. Could not be more impressed, VERY well done!
Ditto, Pepsin. O.O
Absolutely beautiful but...is that the same space? Curved walls, windows to the street? My brain is confused. Either that's a different orientation or they spent a lot of money. Ouch, poor brain.
WOW! Love the house :-)
wow.
2 die 4
@pepsin: word.
Exactly what in this home was thrifted? ;)
Good GAWD. Just jaw-dropplingly perfect.
This is a perfect example of the kind of wreckovation that has swept through and destroyed more Brooklyn brownstones than a century of neglect, all for the flaunting of the questionable tastes of trendy billionaires. This stuff is so impractical as to be a farce, but then that is how that 0.07% of us want to live, and it tells me they haven't a clue.
omfg i just went through the pics in the link, i have more words: in-f*cking-credible. those FLOORS man, i've never seen such beautiful inlaid floors.
Jessica if you're reading this - THANK YOU for the inspiration!! You've given me ten pounds of awesome that I'll try and stuff into my 3 pound sack of a house!
So. Much. Money. (jealous.)
Astoundingly beautiful.
Damn that's Beautiful.....
Must of COST a Fortune!!
WOW that place is stunning! Unbelievable! The parquet floors alone are jaw-droppingly gorgeous!
Just checked out the rest of the photos... is it possible to pee your pants and cry at the same time?
Amazing. Love that staircase, love the bathrooms. Wow.
You see, I'm a Brooklyn Heights native and I'm always happy to read any article about Brooklyn brownstone renovation.
You done be proud!
WOW! I am literally green with envy. I really must start buying lottery tickets. If I could afford that place I would buy it in a nano-second. Can't wait to see what they do with the garden!
I'm so jealous I can barely type.
So beautiful, well done, it took my breath away. I feel like a complete hack with my own designing efforts.
Holy Crap! That floor is AMAZING!! But the Dave Chapelle portrait is odd...
@koolfind, no, the before and after pics are not of the same view.
In the before pic, was the radiator elevated? WTF?
The entire house is a dream..big bucks
@virtuelsie: 0.07% eh? well let's take a test sample. There are a total of 31 comments here as I'm typing this. Not all Brooklynites I assume, but a nice sample all the same. 1 of those comments is a response explaining something to another commenter so we'll scratch that one. 1 of those comments is seemingly not supportive of this renovation and it's styling.
That leaves 29 positive comments on this reno, or roughly 96.6%.
But you're right, they should have totally just left it the way it was. I mean did you see those before pics? Shit was tight. They should have left it alone and built a brand new house out in the burbs, after all land is cheap and plentiful. Plus it's not like the city needs the property tax revenue or anything. Cheers.
In the words from the climactic scene of Raiders of The Lost Arc, "It's beaaaaaauuuuuuutiful!"
@b77, yeah. BIG bucks.
this is my dream home. just lovely.
how much did it cost (house + reno)? it's an honest Q
holy wow. I have to wipe the drool off my keyboard now.
The bathrooms . . . the bathrooms . . . THE BATHROOMS!
Perfekshun. We haz it.
("Questionable tastes"? WTF are you smoking, virtuelsie?)
Beautiful.
The pictures in the rest of the house make the kitchen pale in comparison. Holy moly, that place is amazing. I like it and it isn't even close to being my style at all. Amazing work!
Lovely home, but hate the kitchen. Way too cold and sterile to me--looks like an art gallery, not a home.
And jess13, surely you must know that not everyone who views a post comments on it?
My heart hurts at how beautiful the features of this home are. Although I do prefer AT features on how 'real' people design their homes - instead of those who clearly have unlimited budgets - this is still very inspirational. Amazing job!
@virtuelsie: wreckovation? Where exactly?
While the "before" and "after" pictures are difficult to reconcile and rather confusing, the "after" pictures show that a considerable portion of the original historic material has been retained and restored. This, from my perspective as a heritage planner, is a good thing. A great thing.
While I don't care for the blonde wood parlour, from what I have seen, this appears to be a great renovation; exactly the sort that heritage planners love to see.
Thanks for all of the lovely comments, but I only did the interior design. The renovation would not have been possible without the extremely talented people at Neuhaus Design and Interior Alterations, Inc.
