Project by: Barette Widell of Widell Designs
Location: Flourtown, Pennsylvania

Designed by interior decorators Widell Designs, the kid’s playroom for a 5-year-old features a constellation of animals on the ceiling, built in shelves and desks, a pint-sized tepee and interactive chalkboard. The designers Barette and Christina explain, “the client really had no vision in mind, so we were able to run wild with ours… starting with the ceiling.”

The space is designed to be both fun and functional for mom and child, a room they could grow with throughout the years. Many of the decor and furniture pieces came from Land of Nod and Homegoods.

The constellation ceiling is a sticker decal and the bookshelves and desk are custom built by a local craftsman.
