Name: Wren (4), Owen (17 months)
Location: San Diego, CA
We have a really awkward den/bedroom right off the front entryway of our home. It is a fairly small room, but it is long and narrow. When we moved in we thought that it would be a challenge to decorate, but my husband suggested that maybe it would make a good playroom for our kids.
I am defintinely not a deocrator by any means...I just wanted the room to be fun, bright and a special place in our home that belonged just to the kids. We wanted them to feel free to jump, play, draw, read and do whatever they like in their special room. I also wanted to furnish /decorate the room on the cheap. The total cost of decorating the entire room including the furniture was less than $500.
We had a lot of fun putting the room together and it is great to have all of the toys contained to one designated area.

That's funny, this is almost exactly what I wanted to do for my daughter's playroom! (light gray walls, same rug, same shelf, pops of red, etc.) We even have some of the same prints! But, I am *dying* to know where that fabulous red kitchen is from??
Love the kitchen!! Where did that come from? Oh...and of course...this is a great room too!
I love this playroom! This isn't my room, but I know that the little stove is from Pottery Barn Kids.
Nice! Love the simplicity.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments! :)
The stove is from Pottery Barn Kids, here is the link: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/red-retro-kitchen-collection/?pkey=rromplyrrkenv
I have seen so many of these Pottery Barn kitchens on Craigslist in my area FYI. :)
