Last year, artist Lisa Congdon blogged a whimsical collection of found items each day in 2010, and some of her amazing compositions were covered by Apartment Therapy here and here. Now that the 365 collections have been logged, Congdon is releasing a book about her journey, available via her new website.
We love these collections because they seem to organize what could be seen as clutter in such an artful way. The bright colors and worn nature of Congdon's selections lend so much personality to her illustrations. View the beautiful book and learn more about the pre-order here.

My one complaint about the blog is that almost everything is labeled "vintage something-or-other". I'd say that "vintage" is a touch over used, don't you think, when a sketch of teapots is labeled "vintage teapots"? And many of the items don't need that label for it to be understood - such as "vintage ephemera". Real ephemera is already considered vintage, so... Anyway! That aside, I think it's super cute! I really like her idea of curating her own collections throughout the year. Well done, and congrats on the book release! I'm sure it'll do very well :)
I'm still not over my stand against any mention of "collecting" or "collections" on this site. I get that this is different, because it's a book all about the subject of collecting, which you over-blogged about for like a month.
