Chalkboard paint has made it's way through Apartment Therapy for a while now and we can see why - it's a fun and clever way to add a visual impact in your space while providing a platform for witty comments and friendly to-do lists. While standard black paint has been showcased quite a bit, we do like...

...the colored chalkboard paint lines that are available. We spotted the line, Hudson Paint, over at Point Click Home and think they have a nice color selection. We'd like to see painted stripes with chalkboard paint - that would be a neat way to use this resource. And if you are interested in a little DIY this summer, check out Maxwell's post from last summer on how to make your own chalkboard paint in any color you like.

What do you guys think about chalkboard paint? Have you tried mixing your own? Tell us about it. Also, check out Apartment Therapy Boston's survey on colored chalkboard paint.
