If this family lived next door to me I'd invite myself over for a tour, too, which is just what Rachel Denbow of Smile and Wave did. Not only are the kids' rooms terrific (yes, that a swing above!), but we loved seeing the unfussy, vintagey style throughout the whole home.

You can take the whole tour at Smile and Wave and read an interview with the mother/homeowner about some of her favorite parts of the house. We ogled every room, filled with playful details and loved it all (especially the twin purple armchairs!). Go take a look!

Shaw's Original Fir...
OOOH! This was a fun surprise! Rachel (across the street) and I both thrilled to see her rooms on OhDeedoh. ;)
The kitchen is great. I am a huge mark for all things vintage, and the homeowner did a great job of balancing colour and charm without things everywhere.
I like checkerboard tile floors too. I momentarily thought the floor was shell pink and black, but then decided a) my monitor is crap on this laptop and b) that its a pink wall and a black and white floor. Confirm/deny?
If its a pink and black floor she is incredibly gutsy but I think that's monitor-mirage.
Really cute place. Glad to see a big family, too.
Every time I hear about people with a million kids, the first thought to go through my mind is: stomach flu.
That'd be rough.
Very cute home, though!
I love all the bright colours in this house!
What I laugh at though is the comment about 2300 sqft being small for some families w/ 4 kids. We have 4 kids in 1547 sqft! Now that's tight!
Oh, I LOVE this house!! Her use of color is so wonderfully charming!
