This wonderfully colorful courtyard space is from the restored traditional riad of Dutch designer and hotelier Anke van der Pluijm — as if you needed more reasons to love Morocco. Come take a closer look.

This sitting room, decorated with beautifully patterned tiles and a traditional Beni Ourain rug, opens out to the courtyard. A fireplace keeps things cozy in winter. It's indoor/outdoor living at its finest.

Meanwhile, in the guest bathroom, plastered walls come together beautifully with green wall tiles. This symphony of colors and textures is the thing I love most about Moroccan interiors — the way they manage to be so inviting and cozy and yet still feel so breezy any minimal.
