Tree murals in nurseries and children's rooms are already quite popular and we love the idea of taking the concept even further to make a history-laden family tree.
This project was featured on Poppytalk and until I read the materials list I didn't realize that the tree trunk and branches aren't actually paint, they're made from inexpensive adhesive cork drawer liners. Smart! It's unclear whether this family intends to add photos of family members into the frames (and it looks great without them too), but that seems the natural thing to do.

I would hope they add pictures- perhaps they left it empty for the internet privacy factor?
Frankly I find the whole "empty frame" trend a little odd.
i would put this in my kid's room if/when i have one. then he/she will know his "ancestors" :D
I like this even better than the string tree mural that's been so popular. The only thing though... It bugs when the branches snake up onto the ceiling. I think it should be either strictly ceiling art or strictly wall art. They shouldn't intersect.
