Although this apartment may be little — only 40 square meters, or 540 square feet — it has something that a lot of other little apartments don't: soaring ceilings, gorgeous exposed wooden beams, and breathtaking views over the rooftops of Paris.
It's located on the top floor of an 18th century building in the Marais, and is home to an architect and a designer. They've chosen to stick to a neutral palette, and filled the apartment with modern furnishings that provide a lovely contrast to the space's gorgeous old exposed wood beams.
In the kitchen, the palette of black, white, and woods, together with the soaring ceilings, makes for a particularly dramatic space. Tucked behind the wood wall on the right are the bathroom and a few storage spaces. Everything is very modern and very efficient — the perfect cozy little Paris home.
