Name: Arielle
Location: Church Hill — Richmond, Virginia

About a year ago, my husband and I moved into a 150-year old home in the historic neighborhood of Church Hill in Richmond, Virginia. We immediately fell in love with the vibrant neighborhood and the house's old school charm.

While I've always been a fan of modern design, I wanted to respect the style of our home when decorating. We used lots of rich, dark colors and plenty of thrifted and vintage items to create a moody, gathered look that I think is just right in our Victorian home. Of all our rooms, our dark green library is my favorite. It has a cozy, clubby feel that makes it great for entertaining, or just watching Netflix while hanging out with the dogs.
