Shannon in Kansas City, has created for herself a cozy and kitschy bedroom that looks like a fantastic haven away from the rest of the world. Her bungalow style home easily lends itself to this vintage motif and looks fabulous, filled with thrift and antique store finds...
Shannon has done a beautiful job of mixing up textures and patterns to bring her master bedroom together, all the while layering it with vintage style. You can follow more of her home renovations, repairs and decorating stylings over at A Modern Life. A Modern Home.

Sweet room -- cheerful, comfortable and totally livable.
i had that dresser when i was a kid... i used to pull the lower drawers out until the front was one flat surface
I hate to be petty, but I'm going to go ahead and nitpick anyway. Kitchy? Do you mean kitschy? Is anyone editing these posts before they go up?
Dearmisha: Not just that, but also "Fickr" Find. Unfortunately, Sarah Rae's posts are rife with errors.
Very cute! Love it!
Looks lived in for once.
Love the yellow! any chance we can get the exact hue? I JUST got a new bedroom window and am inspired to paint the room. Thought I needed a color more soothing, but that yellow looks happy and relaxed.
Thanks for the compliments! I'm pretty happy with the way the room turned out, but it's still in need of some things (artwork, shelving).
Tara- the paint is from True Value. It's actually probably more green than yellow. The lighting in the room just isn't very good. I forget the name, but it's something Hawaiian. If I can find the lid to the paint can with the label on it, I'll post here.
