With winter and the holiday season here, I can't help but dream of being all wrapped up in a cozy room with a blazing fire. A common misconception may be that modern is not warm and cozy but there are many different styles of modern. How would you label this room?
I'd go for "eclectic modern" thanks to the mix of old and new going on.

I think this is my favorite collage yet, though I'd change the wall color to a lighter color that's not a neutral.

I agree - the combination of charcoal grey w/ the browns and woodtones is so warm and appealing.
Any room with a Papa bear chair works for me :-). I love everything here but i'd take out the Rangoli rug cuz it just makes the space look too busy.
I found two authentic matching Hans Wegner Papa Bear Chair Ottomans at a Goodwill for $5 each. Best Goodwill find to date! Unfortunately, the chairs weren't there.

Check out Scandinavian Design, Inc. in NYC. They carry all Hans Wegner designs. I bought a Papa Bear chair off the floor. Great buy. This is such a comfortable chair. I love it. Can't wait to get some more chairs from SD.
