I live in San Francisco and work at a tech company (yes, yes, a "techie"). In my free time I am getting a masters in computer science and like to experiment with web development. Interior design is another hobby of mine. I'd like to think I am creative with turning space into art.
However, I moved between 4 cities in the last 8 years and this prevented me from ever fully decorating a place top-to-bottom. Finally moving to San Francisco (3 years ago from NYC) I felt a little more settled. So when I moved into my downtown SF apartment last November, I let my pent-up creative juices flourish! A decade of watching HGTV, studying furniture design (...let's just say I know the Ikea, CB2, West Elm, Room & Board, DWR, Roche Bobois, Ligne Roset, Kreiss, and Crate & Barrel catalogs very well!), and "super-using" Pinterest has paid off.
I had 3 themes of inspiration:
My design style is very geometric - I think symmetry is beauty. You will find my passion for efficiency reflected in my design; it's minimalistic, organized and symmetrical.
I've been a painter all my life, and my main inspiration is the bold primary colors you first experiment with as a kid (i.e. Crayola Crayons). Plus color just makes me happy! Each room has a color theme. The canvas art I painted myself.
