Lemonade stands are a classic part of many a childhood. Growing up on a major road in a big city, my siblings and I raked in a nice bit of change during the summers. But our humble folding card table and poster-board sign left us baking in the sun while our precious ice melted away at a precipitous rate. We certainly would have appreciated something a bit more posh, a tad more stylish--something a lot like this.
This handsome piece of work is featured at Lowe's Creative Ideas and is sure to make your kids' summer a sweet one. While the end result is impressive, with it's curved roof and inner shelving, the steps for building it are straightforward. Basic carpentry techniques and standard tools, along with some time and patience, will get this project done.
Of course, all of the materials listed are specific to Lowe's, but the plans are detailed and versatile enough to be easily customizable. And as an added bonus, it makes a great puppet show theater in the off-season.
