A Different Kind of DIY: The "Multiple" Magnetic Coffee Table

This clever coffee table by Belgian designer Raphael Charles is the mysterious shape shifter of the furniture world: a modular table that joins together not by stacking or connecting, but by the force of a magnetic field. The Multiple Table consists of a cluster of locally sourced, solid beech, 15-inch poles that can be arranged (and rearranged) to the user's liking in any shape or form.

The poles are held together by magnets and allow for endless configuration. Turn that large coffee table into a series of side tables for a party, or reassemble them to create one long bench for the entryway. Make yourself some functional furniture, or play with the artsy aspect and show off your monogram!
