Irum's son had done a number on their apartment walls, marking them up with his drawings. She cleaned them up as best she could and then decided to draw attention away from what was left with this fantastic cityscape wall graphic - drawn and cut by hand!Irum has a background in art so I'm not sure my own efforts would have this nice of an effect, but it's an inspiring project nonetheless. She says she purchased "black laminating sheets" at her bookstore - I'm not entirely sure what this is (or if it has a different name in Dubai where she lives) but it seems to me that black contact paper would be a suitable substitute.
