We just realized that this apartment from yesterday's Flickr Find is actually right here in Brooklyn. And one more very cool DIY project from the apartment involves a vintage baby pram and plants. Can't imagine this combination? Click on through for more views of this awesome project.
The look of the vintage carriage is immensely pleasing - it's easy to see how one would want to incorporate it somehow into their decor. We think this is such a creative way to do so. It looks like the pram is fitted with some sort of liner, allowing for its new use as a planter.

Nomade Express Slee...
This is so cool. I am inspired to fill a set of old African cooking baskets in the same way. Now, who knows where to find a nice waterproof membrane?
If you already have a pram it's a creative use. If you're looking to duplicate it though, you'll find those vintage prams are expensive. I'm not paying $500 for a planter!
Neat idea! I've seen those prams once in awhile on Craigslist, and often they are inexpensive because they're a little broken down and not usable as prams--but they might make perfectly good planters! I always wanted one, but didn't know what to do with it--maybe this is the answer....
That pod baby creeps me out.
Why? You can barely see the plants.
If I had an antique pram, I can think a dozen uses for storage and display before I'd put potted plants into it.
Too gimmicky for me...
It'd be very convenient for plants that need to go out regularly - for sun, moisture or pollinators. Not really my style, but after hauling pots in and out and in and out...
