If you lust after that simple, folky Scandinavian look that seems to suit adult and kid spaces equally well you may enjoy this stenciled dresser project from Lena Corwin's fab book Printing By Hand.
Lena shared this particular tutorial on Etsy's blog a long time ago and it's been languishing in our bookmarks tab too long! We're completely intrigued with the contact paper method she's used here especially because it seems almost too easy. This is a great treatment for a dresser, but we're also thinking how perfect it could be for a child's door, wall or toy box.
Find the complete how-to including stencil templates you can download at The Storque - OR, in Lena's book, Printing By Hand: A Modern Guide to Printing with Handmade Stamps, Stencils, and Silk Screens which is just filled with information, inspiration and instructions.

Shaw's Original Fir...
It might look Scandinavian, but it's inspired by Mexican Otami or Otomi textiles. From Apartmenttherapy itself:

I love how it hides the knobs!
Do I spy yet another Ikea Rast makeover? I think I do.
I have a plain pine chest I've been wanting to makeover for my girls. I think I'll try this with it...
This is one of the cutest dresser makeovers I've seen! And the instructions are great.
