Now that our son has a mouth full of chompers and the appetite of fat Elvis, we're revisiting The Toddler Café cookbook which we wrote about last year. And, we discovered that author Jennifer Carden keeps a blog chock full of yummy ideas.

While most of the recipes you'll find in The Toddler Café are healthy as well as appealing to young kids, a sweet treat is in order every once in a while. And while our son is still a bit young for these quick marshmallow treats, we're filing it away as both a tasty treat and a fun kitchen activity for the future.

In the version pictured above Jennifer speared marshmallows with lollipop sticks, dipped them in chocolate and let the kids roll them in sour sugar which she happened to have on hand. She also recommends rolling them in chopped nuts and we'll add our own suggestion for graham cracker crumbs to create a quick s'more pop. You can read Jennifer's quick instructions on The Toddler Café blog where she shares both ideas from her book and new, creative ideas for preparing food for and with toddlers.
