Games created to be instructional tools usually fall into one of two categories. They are either painfully awkward as they try to make learning fun or they pull it off with no sweat. We have not seen too many games specifically aimed at teaching the basics of colors, but here is one that pulls it off nicely. It has cool graphics, a fun concept and is a free download to boot.
We are always interested to see what Howtoons will come up with next, and they rarely disappoint. The Color Racer game is designed to teach kids the difference between primary and secondary colors and how they are related to one another. The entire game is printed out on heavy paper and then assembled with a series of cuts and folds, even the dice!
If you have kids who are into cars, or are learning their colors, or who just love board games, be sure to check this one out.
