Over the last several years there's been this idea floating around the internet that involves cutting your empty toilet paper tubes into small sections and making them into wall art. The above version has the same idea but takes things to the next level:
This rendition of the cardboard tube turned wall art was found over at Just A Girl. This updated version has several awesome upgrades to it that make it a little more friendly to the average homeowner or renter.
For starters, all the pieces of cardboard are mounted, allowing the piece to be hung with a single nail instead of previous methods which involved gluing it to the wall. (Who wants to glue something to a wall. Ick.) With everything covered in white paint, the look almost feels like those modern wall panels that cost a small fortune. The idea could be adapted to cover an entire wall and removed in a snap when it's time to move.

I love this rendition! I've been slowly working on one of the other style and am going to hang it from 1-2 small finish nails when it's complete. We don't have that many paper towel tubes, so it's slow going. (I have been collecting the tp tubes, but so far I haven't wanted to sit and strip the last bit of paper off them all... I know, lazy.)
Hernando - I'm on the same page. I've just got a few, toilet-paper-laden rolls sitting around. I'll get there eventually!
such a good idea!! i think im going to make this my weekend project. maybe add a color to the canvas background so the rolls will pop
Glad it's not just me, Goldie!
love!
Cool!
