Sometimes, when you are dealing with a large collection of artwork that spans a range of colors it can be a challenge to display it all without it becoming visually overwhelming in the room. Brooke's solution was to create an organized grid and use the same simple white frames for each piece. We think this really gives her tween daughter's artwork the big splash it deserves without being too busy.
The sheer size of the art collection is a bold, go big or go home move and we like it. Pop over to Brooke's blog to see more pictures of her daughter's room redesign.

This is a great approach - especially to choose similar-looking pieces of art that are large-scale. It inspires me to do something similar with some of my son's artwork... instead of cute animals and pictures, though, it's light saber battles and race cars!
Where is the ottoman from?! Love it!
This looks fantastic! I always try to incorporate simple frames into my designs because it allows the focus to be on the art instead of the frame!
Ditto on that ottoman...where's it from?!
Shear refers to several kinds of bias, crossways, kitty-corner concepts. Sheer means "nothing other than" (except when it refers to transparency.)
Hence, "The sheer size of..." is correct.
yes, of course it is, rapunzel. it's been corrected. thank you for catching that!
