When we first moved into our house three years ago, I only had about a week to throw together a guest room for family that was coming to visit and never really thought about it again after that. I was fine with how it looked but it just wasn't "me." I also wanted the space to be multifunctional so I could use it when company was gone.

I spend a fair amount of my spare time blogging and making crafts so I really wanted to have a space in the house dedicated to that. I found a beautiful vintage desk second-hand which I painted coral and this ended up being the inspiration for the rest of the room. The desk, pillows and headboard were all DIY projects and almost everything else was either found on clearance or second-hand. I think the room is so much more inviting now and I can't wait to see what people write in the guest book.
