The LA Times Home & Garden reports today about the recent series of home design magazines closings, including a few of our favourite publications: Blueprint, House & Garden, InStyle Home. Conversely, we welcome a new niche of home decor and lifestyle publication specifically aimed toward the aesthetic, but practical, man. Men's Health Living is headed up by the former editor-in-chief of Men's Health (and author of the popular Abs Diet), so we're not sure about his credentials as a style and design arbiter. We're hoping for less "Seduce Her With Your Space" articles (we'd be lying if we said we didn't peek) and more "Perfect Home Challenge" and "Location, Location, Lats". It's a tough market...we're not quite sure if there are enough everyday men who would pick up a magazine like this when we've always turned to decor/design specific rags or Popular Mechanics/This Old House for practical information. But perhaps the modern American man is ready?
