Every time you go to pick your child up from daycare you notice he cannot get enough of a big Dora the Explorer plush doll. Obviously, the doll lives at daycare, so you figure you should probably get him one of his own. Then you remember you have considerable skills with the needle and thread and decide to make one. Then you remember that your little boy's first birthday is coming up, and the theme of the party is Star Wars, so instead of a Dora doll, you decide to make a Greedo doll instead. Let us just say this--we like the way you think.
The Karpiuks first came to our attention when they created a Millennium Falcon from cardboard boxes. Here they continue to wow us with this loveable and huggable Greedo doll, designed and created by Leslie. Not only is
it soft and snuggly, it is BIG! Two feet tall, a perfect sized companion for their little boy.
Lesley drew up a sketch and then put it all together, piece by piece. She doesn't provide a tutorial per se, but there are enough photos and pointers that someone with a sewing background should be able to pull it off. Congrats on a job well done, Lesley! Now if we can only convince her that Han shot first...
