While perusing the Web site of National Geographic, we learned of a wonderful program they have created called National Geographic Photo Camp. The camp, which is aimed towards teens in underserved communities, presents various photo workshops allowing the teens to capture images of their world. Their work is then presented in exhibits across the country and the world.
With everyone from first-generation Asian Americans teens in San Francisco, to teens in Oaxaca and some in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina, it is so touching to see how aware and inspired these young photographers are.
