It's always exciting receiving a handwritten letter and never more so than in this digital age of texts, ichats and emails. If you think you can't get your kids excited for writing, a carefully crafted and curated letter writing kit might be just what they need.

Our own Danielle Thompson created this amazing kit as a very special Christmas gift for her son Cooper who happened to already love writing letters and also had A+ handwriting - he's quite the Renaissance man. As you can see there are several components to this kit and Danielle worked hard on all of them - custom stationery (she's a graphic designer by trade), custom stamps, carefully selected stickers and pencils with Cooper's name on them - all contained in an artist's box she painted white. Cooper loved the gift and, as you can see, got busy writing Santa a thank you note.

See more photos of this meticulous and meaningful gift on Thompson Family blog. If you'd like to create something similar for your child but need a hand in the graphics department, Danielle offers custom (partial or fully), Happy Mail kits which include printable stationery, thank you cards, address labels, stickers and more with your child's name and likeness. Find the Happy Mail kits at Tiny Bazaar.
