If you're looking for a solution on how to fit a bed, shelves, a small couch, and a desk all in one room, take a look at this set up: Putting the couch at the foot of the bed (especially one with high back like this antique one) offers a point of separation between the sleeping and living areas.
We love the mix of modern with antiques: by keeping the bedding simple and white (not to mention the bleached floors and white walls), the focus is all on the beautiful lines of the gold settee and the round drum table and chair. The biggest compromise that we can see is putting the nightstand right up against the bookcase and sacrificing easy access to that section of shelves.

Where can I get that side table?
So pretty! I love it.
I am in love with this idea and must try it when I move!!!
This looks great! I am a keen reader and reading in bed is a great way to relax. If I would have a bigger bedroom I`d love to include a bookshelf. The critical point is allways the drawer thing. Bookshelves are huge, as drawers are. Here over in Europe we don't have the build in drawers in most rentals, so an average sized bedroom can look stuffed with the two big pieces plus bed and seating. I would love to see some more pics, where people fund a good solution for bedrooms with drawers and bookshelves.
Very nice. I'm curious though. Is this a bedroom large enough to support a "living area," or is this the living/sleeping area of what is basically a one room apartment? I'd love to know, and also wish we could see what's there on the other sides of the room.
Love the color of that couch!
