TYIN's Library in Thailand Made From Reclaimed Materials

This library is another one of TYIN's impressive structures made from reclaimed material (see an Innovative Orphanage by TYIN here), and designed to encourage more community interaction.

The Old Market Library, built in a 100 year old building, measures 3 by 9 meters. What was once an abandoned and dilapidated space is now a functional library filled with charm and innovative materials. An old toilet in the corner serves as a bed for a small tree, while bookshelves made from wooden boxes line the walls. Everything is held together using secondhand wood from a local shop.
