A Little Bit of Paris in Milan: A Visit to the Merci Pop-Up Shop

As much as I love Italy, I think I may have to admit to being a francophile at heart. One of my favorite moments during the recent Milan Design Week wasn't thanks to the undeniable genius of Italian design and didn't even take place at i Saloni. It was a pop-up outpost of the perfectly-on-point Parisian home goods shop, Merci. Take a look and get ready to "wish you were there" as I re-wish that I had brought along an extra suitcase to fill up for the trip home...

Paola Navone backpacks, part of a collection of bold patternedaccessories designed especially for Merci in Milan.

Classic string shopping bags.

Speckled enamel cooking spoons.

A great collection of poppy patterned (Liberty, Paola Navone) and perfectly colored (neon brights and pastels) washi tape.

Clever pop up vase covers and vintage glassware.

Vintage style chairs and Brooklyn-inspired tin ceiling wallpaper.

Tons of lovely linens in all sizes and colors (priced really well, too!).

Enamel serving ware.

Cool coffee.

Just funky-enough vintage bent bamboo side table - perfect for a patio.

Tablecloths in classic colors.
