Sure, a few lucky people out there added Oscar gold to their homes over the weekend, but the rest of us will have to find other ways to add some shine. Gorgeous golden lamps are one smart way — they easily walk the line between laid-back cool and full-on glitz.
Oversized versions work well as statement pieces on their own, while smaller ones are the perfect backdrop for tablescapes. In a white room, they look glamourous and luxe; in a colorful one, a bit exotic and well-traveled.

Where's the 5th one?
I wonder if any crafty Oscar winners have turned their Oscar into a lamp...
These are all very pretty, but very expensive. Am I wrong to think that AT is becoming more and more aspirtational, and less achieveable?
$1995 seems achievable to me.
(that was sarcasm)
Amandan: Sorry about that. I just added it.
Zimmerwoman: Ha!
Xtina & Strikermary: I think AT tries to show a full range of great design, from DIY to affordable to expensive. I can't afford a $1995 lamp either, but I love the design inspiration for when I'm out shopping at stores I can afford. Also, I'm just a sucker for pretty lamps.
