Yowza. We had a difficult time deciding which photo of this amazing Seattle home to put up top, but we couldn't resist the view. Check out more pics below the jump...
Unfortunately, we know nothing about it other than that it's "a new custom architect designed home now for sale."
Gorgeous!!! Probably way more than I could ever afford unless I win a BIG lottery.
Wow, that home is the Anti-Cozy.
Double yowza.
So why isn't the chair facing the yowza view?
My God! Stunning!
Dear lord. What gorgeousness.
too sexy for my toes
Holy mother of Dog, I love the view!!!
It's way too much. I follow AT because of the DIY spirit and the small space solutions. I'd rather see something under 800 sq. ft. with design that inspires me instead of alienating me. I really don't want to see stuff on AT that makes me feel like I don't belong. So phhhhht.
Stunning view and home. Just beautiful.
What I wouldn't give to walk around naked in that house.
I wonder if the owner loves the view too. Or why else does his Eames face the closet? ;)
Has anyone else seen enough of those zebra rugs for this lifetime?
Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
I wouldn't want to do the windows. Think what of all that moist, salty air is doing to them...
The view is clearly doing the heavy lifting here - the rest, well, it's already on its way to the realm of with-enough-money-you-can...
Beautiful but doesn't fit AT?
I wanna have that house's babies.
Love it! Totally aspirational.
Hurts so good.
That indeed is a gorgeous home. The second shot makes it look like a department store. I think it's just the lighting.
That Eames chair can be moved btw. It was clearly turned that way for the composition of the photograph.
"I wanna have that house's babies."
lol perv
I love all the windows!!!!
I agree with swanroad. I'm much more interested in a post about turning kitchen scraps into windowsill plants.. or painting tin cans to make into flower pots.. or looking at how to make the best out of a "Jr. 1 bedroom". Sure, it's a nice house.. but.. meh.
hmmm, I don't know of anywhere in seattle that has a view of the water without land in the distance...I suspect this is LA, no?
I don't know how I feel about the "wall of windows," but it's still freakin' awesome!
Amazing house.
Even if it's unattainable to the vast majority of us, isn't it fun to see? And maybe it can provide a bit of inspiration even if it's not a diy-type post.
OMFG! Amazing!
Anewme08 is right. Inspiration can be found in the priciest or cheapest of homes. Understanding why something draws your attention is a huge step in figuring out how to apply it to your own living space. The view is amazing, but what piqued my interest was the storage. It looks like custom kitchen high cabinets. And this got me thinking: I wonder if Ikea kitchen high cabinets would make good bedroom storage...
As for the view, I would spend hours transfixed at the windows and would never get anything done.
What peanutword said...also, there are blue street signs on some of the pictures on the link - every Seattle street sign I've seen is green.
Well, it's not like I could afford it anyway...and where would I put my lawn flamingo?
price?
Shame it's so close to its neighbours. Pick it up, move it to the middle of nowhere and its my dream. The hours I could spend in that bath....
I don't know which I enjoyed more, the water views or everyone's comments on the place.
I can tell you right now that those fabulous digs are somewhere in Cali, not Seattle.
thurdsay was right with the street sign comment, not to mention the surrounding flora. But why all the haterade? Living in this house would inspire to me to be so much cooler.
Gorgeous! Being Brazilian I am always more likely to love the mountain views, the countryside...but this house is just something else!
Actually, this is not in Seattle according to the the originating Website. Besides, Seattle doesn't have water quite that clear and blue.
From seattlemodern.com "Here's a cool house, NOT IN SEATTLE AS SUCH, but check out the pictures as it's currently on the market for sale by an agent I am affiliated with, you'll love the architecture, this house is available for purchase as of July 2008. I'm helping it to get into several national architecture magazines as we speak (they've been contacting me from this website."
Gasp!
