Name: Baby Girl
Location: Reykjavik, Iceland
Here in Iceland it's traditional for babies to sleep in their parents' bedrooms, at least for the first few months. So when a good friend of mine asked me for help to create a haven for their little girl, I jumped at the chance.
We decided on a pretty neutral color scheme and simply enjoyed the beauty of things. We bought a few old, gold frames at the local Goodwill and replaced the back with cork. We used small pins to fasten the itsy bitsy teeny weeny cute clothes in the frame. The frames were kept their original gold color, which adds warmth and character.
They already had the chair, and I think it came from Pier 1. The canopy was created using Alvine curtains from IKEA and hung on a rod that is supposed to be used outdoors for flower pots. The lacy, flowery bookshelves on the wall are Liksidig napkin holders from IKEA, simply drilled into the wall. At just $3.95, you can't beat that price.
