Although there are numerous good looking bunkbeds and loft beds for sale these days, the ultimate flexibility comes only with doing something custom. Whether you hire a professional or give it a go yourself, constructing a loft bed can be easier than you think.
The simplicity of this two-tiered bed has us drawing up plans ourselves. The top "bunk" is a sturdy, floating wood-slat platform. The bed beneath simply sits on the floor.
