You may have seen the work of British Artist Kyle Bean on the cover of the current issue of Computer Arts or his series of portraits from colored pencil shavings for the contributor page of Wallpaper* Handmade 2011…

Kyle is a designer based in Brighton, UK specializing in hand crafted models, set design and art direction. His work is witty and intricate and has been popping up in major publications in the past year — from Wired, to Diesel, to GQ and the New York Times. I love his style and have a feeling we are going to be seeing quite a bit more from this young artist in the years to come.

It says that he "[specializes] in hand crafted models, set design and art direction" but that chicken and woodblock iPod are, I am almost positive, 3D renders. You can tell by how perfect the lighting, shadows, and background are.
Editorial mistake?
@ kimberly k. Nope, no mistake. They are handmade sculptures. If you visit his website you can actually see images of him in the process of both making pieces. Pretty incredible.
