I don't care how many times I see folks make their own pint sized planters, I always get all excited to make my own. This tutorial is no different, and it takes the cool concrete exterior up a notch with a little gold leaf.
Amanda over at Ruffled is always up for a DIY project, but these in particular are especially adorable. She's usually making things for weddings as that's what her blog focuses around; these gold leafed planters might adorn a wedding reception or possibly just your living room.
Although we've featured many cement planter projects in the past, we like that this one uses the Rapid Set Cement all kit, which means all you need is water. It makes working with a new material a little less scary, and it's a great way to bring in some gold without getting all glitter and jazz hands up in your space. Want to see how it's done?
