Name: Lux Berlin Guest Home
Location: Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, Germany
The home: a desolate ruin of an apartment from DDR-times (former Socialist Germany) turned into cool, urban guest home -with a lot of personal work and on a tight budget- in a house built in 1900.
The style: sparse/minimal meets 60's/70's vintage, understated luxury with decadent touches.
Color scheme: black, white & gray.
Inspiration: black & white photographs with many shades of gray.
Special problems: seriously, you don't want to know.

Sprout Side Table
A bit too modern for my taste although I do like the kitchen. Wonder why so much black but I can see this filled with colorful accessories and it would be georgeous.
It seems to be missing something...
Love the floors and the broken mirror installation. It's a guest house, people. Not a home. It needs to be accomodating to many, not kitched up with gobs of American crap. Looks serene to me.
what is that thing-that-appears-to-be-a-floor-lamp in the first pic? is that what it is? it looks like a giant version of an Eva Zeisel candle stick

oh, Lux, NOT luxe. Now I get it ;)
I love this place, especially the black-and-white photography-inspired look.
