A Marvelous Nature Inspired Mural

Sara May out of Chicago might not have painted this mural in a children's space, but we think it serves as great inspiration for those parents looking to diy something out of the norm. Its free-flowing lines, bright colors and nature theme would be perfect for a child's space without being too baby-ish.

Sara's friend Annie tipped us off to this fun mural inspired by books Sara found at her local library. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the rigidness of making a stencil or enlarging a graphic and making sure it's perfect, but design employs beautiful freehanded lines and vibrant colors to make a unique visual impact.

Check out more of this design on Sara's blog White Puff Glisteny Shadowy Flow (which is a serious mouthful!) and make sure to congratulate her on a job well done as well as help her say goodbye as she paints it over!

(Thanks Annie!)
