One of the first things we talk about in our Apartment Therapy Home Cure is the need for fresh flowers in the home. In this small loft in downtown Milwaukee, they're more than just eye candy, they're a way of life! Michael Gaffney is a teacher and consultant for movies and film when it comes to flowers, so as expected, his home reflects this passion as well.

Although Michael travels quite often to different cities for teaching and consulting, the first thing he does when he comes home is to throw some flowers in a vase. His goal was to have a space that was small, but filled all of his needs, allowing him to feel like his own home was a vacation upon returning. Think of it as a well groomed hotel space (though we've never seen one with a 7-11 sign in it!).

We hope you enjoy this small glimpse into his loft as much as we did, it's nice to see the boost that fresh flowers really give a space, no matter how tiny or tremendous it might be!

Thanks Michael
