Project by: Jenny J. Norris
Location: Old Tappan, NJ
Full of warm, organic modern furnishings, some soft textiles, funky art and good light, this formerly dated home was transformed into a modern, eclectic retreat in the woods by designer Jenny J. Norris. The interplay of textures and patterns here is inspiring.
This project is a contemporary home that was built in the 1970's and it's nestled in the woods of Old Tappan, NJ. The client and I couldn't have been more of a perfect match in terms of design (she found me on Craigslist).
We used a lot of Mid Century elements, tied together with modern details such as the Tom Dixon lighting in the kitchen. The colorful Moroccan rag rug in the family room was found on Etsy. The dressers in the bedroom, white tulip dining table and off-white sofa in the living room were all purchased from Organic Modernism. The framed malachite scarf in the formal dining area is from Cisthene.
