We throughly enjoyed the spread in Met Home last month on this modern Atlanta home - the light, the simplicity and the art collection (mainly photographs) on display.
It's home to family of five, and seems especially well suited for entertaining. As we've mentioned before, our number one wish would be to have room for a really big dining table - and this family has THREE lined up in a row - there must be some fantastic dinner parties in Atlanta!

Ercol Bar Stool
Wow, just wow. It's hard to go wrong with such a great-looking house and lovely light, and this is amazing. The TV in the bedroom bugs me but, hey, it's not my house.
That photo of a mannequin is amazing
A dream home. Love it. Man, though, do I feel poor. Gotta remind myself that 20% of the world's population doesn't have access to clean drinking water ~ restore my perspective a little.
Eeeekkk! A ginormous Stepford Wife staring me down while I eat!
That photo would completely creep me out.
That photo looks fricking awesome!!!
Man, those Bertoia bar stools always look great!
sort of boring, could be anywhere. Is it just me?
These people live on my street. The took a boring old house and converted it into a modern. It really stands out. I absolutely love it, but some people are not too fond of it. Standing on the road, you can see through the house all the way out the back to the Chattahoochee River, which they live on. The table made of bicycle wheels is very noticeable as I ride by on my bike.
It is not mentioned in the article, but there is a staircase on the outside that goes somewhere- either to the second floor or the roof. My only knock on the place is the landscaping. It appears they only recently started upgrading that.
And yes, they frequently have very large parties. And no, I have not been to one. We have mutual friends, but I do not know them personally. I understand they are very nice.
Wow gttim - stalk much?
Stalking? Please. Insult much? Or are you just naturally rude and obnoxious?
The house is right on the street, and it is full of windows. When the house was built, everybody was looking at it. It was a huge change for the area and the topic of conversation on the street for a while. The street is a cycling and running haven, where cyclists, runners and walkers go up and down the street repeatedly. The table made from bike wheels was talked about by all the cyclists when it first showed up. If you drive by in a car at 25 mph, the speed limit, you can easily see it.
Now please go make yourself useful, if you can! People like you try to suck all the fun out of the internet. Doesn't work.
I love the large photos that are displayed throughout the house. I don't think the house would seem as warm without them.
