This vacation rental apartment in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona is full of durable natural objects, from linen slipcovers and bedding to carved wood antiques. Its a great example of the modern rustic look that's so popular right now.
We really like the combination of old and new in this space. Somehow, details like a flatscreen TV and sliding inline-track doors don't feel out of place next to rough-hewn wood stools and animal skin rugs.
The neutral color scheme helps to unify the apartment's modern and antique elements, and an uncluttered aesthetic keeps everything on the same level, so that furnishings compliment (rather than compete with) each other.

Unfortunately in my country these rugs START at around $800, and the good ones are more like $2,000. Desire, meet Reality.
