This unique home blends southwestern with mid-century modern, and does it seamlessly.
The palette of earth tones punctuated by reds and oranges, along with the organic textures of the wall art and upholstery highlight those elements which are common to both styles. Van Patter Design developed the aesthetic by restraining the use of scene-stealing southwestern pieces to ones that share a refined geometric sensibility with the modern furniture.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Theres just a little too much going on.
Lovely. I could move in right away.
I love how these two VERY different styles are blended. It's very unusual, and being a southern girl as well as a lover of all things mid-century modern, I find it very appealing.
Very nice house. Clean and simple. Almost with a shaker quality in some photos.
I love it. I would definitely live there. Very cozy, but it can also breathe. Best of both worlds.
lovely home, great bedroom!
GORGEOUS. I'm amazed at how well they blended these 2 very different and distinct aesthetics together. Wowzers.
What a fun challenge, blending these two design styles.
Admirable, too, since I love both, but get tired of the "cliche" traps the either one can fall into.
Well done!
Beautiful. I love the mix of sleek and rough. But tell me, why must there be horns, antlers, or dead birds to be "southwest"?
Yes, the dead animals/animal parts are a discordant (and very predominant) note in what is otherwise a serene environment.
I want that rug featured in the living room. Orange and Brown. Anyone have any ideas?
