My husband and I still live in the same apartment we moved into after college. It's a terribly laid out 675 square feet, two bedroom apartment but the rent is well within our budget and allows us to travel and enjoy the finer things in life. The main entrance is via the children's bedroom and to make matters worse the room has three closets...only one of which is actually useful.

This room serves as the bedroom, playroom and study. We used to have a narrow toddler bed and were contemplating getting another bunk bed but since our girls end up in the same bed, we bought this wider bed and our girls share it. Eventually we will get another bunk but for now this is great. Our children are very close to each other and I think it's mostly due to the fact that they share this space.

Our style is simple, fun, practical and affordable. We simply love IKEA for children's furniture because it lasts and lasts. The Kura bunk bed is 10 years old! Living in a tiny apartment with four children has certainly forced us to think outside the box and rethink our priorities, wants, needs as well as how we want to raise our children.
